Week 2
Friday 3rd April
On our final day in the Key Worker Kids Club we gave the children a challenge to create their own obstacle course, and they didn’t disappoint! On the Key Stage 1 course, Mr Minei and Mr Tod went head to head; see for yourself in the photos below who won!
Next, in homage to National Rainbow Day all the kids made their own creation:
After lunch and another Cosmic Kids Yoga adventure, Mr Minei led us in a game of Handball. The kids really impressed us with their passing, movement, goalkeeping and shooting skills!
Finally, to cap off a lovely week, we continued the tradition of having marshmallows and smÅres over a firepit, mmmm delicious!

Wednesday 1st April
We had another action packed day yesterday here at the Key Worker Kids Club. After carrying out our daily home learning work we had a go at doing Lego print painting. The children experimented using different sized Lego and Duplo pieces and created a variety of masterpieces, ranging from a robot, flower and hearts to a whole Minecraft village!
After two days of Joe Wicks PE, we decided to do something a bit more sedate and enjoyed the ‘Minecraft Adventure’ on Cosmic Kids Yoga.
During break time we noticed, whilst playing on the field, that there was an awful lot of rubbish littered around the edge of the field, so, after lunch we found the litter pickers and set to work! The children were really dedicated as they collected a huge assortment of crisp packets, snack bar wrappers, plastic bottles and other plastic items and filled two bin bags by the end of the afternoon. All in all a good afternoon’s work! You can view photos of the children at work in the slideshow below:
During the afternoon, the children also had a great time making bracelets with loom bands that were kindly donated to the school :-) Finally, a couple of puzzles for you that our Key Stage 2 children set. Can you think ‘outside the box’ and solve these problems?!

Good evening everyone! We have had a lovely first day in the 2nd week of Key Worker Kids’ Club. After working on our home learning, we worked together on creating our own ‘Key Worker Kids’ song. The children came up with the suggested tune (‘We are Family’) and words all by themselves, we hope you like the result! They also came up with a couple of maths and spelling themed chants…
After lunch we had great fun playing balloon badminton, before finishing the day with some junk model ‘Easter Gardens’ complete with cress seeds. We hope you enjoy looking at the pictures and videos below!
