How the PTA supports the School

What the PTA have funded since September 2021 

 

Over the last 4 years the PTA has funded the following across both Campus with the money raised through our fundraising efforts and the generous support from all the families at our schools.

 

  • Plants for all classes and communal areas to help improve air quality and wellbeing of staff and children 
  • Woodwork benches for Early years at both sites
  • Thanks to EasiGrass Cambridge for the donation of artificial grass we have helped with creating outdoor reading areas in Reception and nursery at Cambourne & Reception at Hardwick
  • Beanbags to improve the outdoor reading area at Hardwick
  • General playground improvements at Hardwick
  • Sports equipment at both sites 
  • Library improvements at both sites
  • 5 x Picnic benches at Hardwick
  • Magazine subscriptions
  • We have completed the work on the outdoor drama area at Cambourne after receiving a further grant from Taylor Wimpey to complete the works and Brindsley Heritage LTD.
  •  Clocks for all classrooms and communal areas
  • Cameras and memory cards for those that have needed replacements 
  •  Storage container at Cambourne 
  • SumDog 
  • Literacy Prizes 
  • Puddle suits for Reception children at Cambourne 
  • Recycle bins at Hardwick
  • Buddy Signs at both sites 
  • Buddy benches at both sites 
  • Mediator bibs at both sites 
  • Additional sports equipment for both sites
  • Literacy support across both campus'
  •  Every class has been given £25 from the 5p challenge to spend
  •  Language Nuts Subscription for 18 Months 
  • Library area improvements at Cambourne 
  •  Reading areas within Classrooms - new rugs and look out for the very popular Bean Pod Chairs! 
  • Sound Stations at both sites for KS1, SEN and Early Years - helping with reading, vocab, speaking and listening skills  
  •  Music Trolleys and Music Stands at Cambourne 
  • Storage at Cambourne 
  • Litter pickers to assist with "Trash Attack" Golden Morning 
  •  2 x Replacement Laminators 
  •  13 x Ipads with cases and set-up to be rolled out to all KS2 at both sites.  A further 10 will follow for KS1 and Early Years

Cambourne Outdoor Drama Area - This was completed over the summer of 2021, thanks to Persimmon Homes, Taylor Wimpey, Brindsley Heritage Limited, Hibbitt Masonry & HCCPS PTA members and their families.
