3. Writing your letter

Following your plan, it is now time to write your letter.

Don't write out the addresses for now... save that for when you publish your work.

 

1.  Start with the introduction - turn your notes into full sentences, adding in extra details and ideas as you go.

2.  Write paragraph 2 and 3, thinking carefully about the words you use.  Try to really PERSUADE the reader to be on your side!  Use powerful words and exaggerate!  Think about your sentence starters too.

3.  Write your final paragraph, summing up what you would like the reader to do. Maybe use a rhetorical question.

 

Don't try to write this whole letter in one go.  At school, we'll be taking 2-4 sessions to write it!
