2. Planning your letter
Task 2 is to plan a persuasive letter, trying to persuade people to reduce, reuse and recycle plastics and explaining why they should be doing this.
A plan does not have to be in full sentences - use bullet points and notes! To help you, look back at the plastic facts you found out during Task 1 when you were watching the videos.
Look at the ‘paragraph headings’ on the PDF document below – these help us to organise our notes. Your task is to organise your notes into suitable sections. You can do this on the sheet (if you have a printer) or on a piece of paper.
For example:
Introduction - explain why you are writing the letter
- Problem – plastic pollution
- Animals and wildlife – plastics harmful
- Oceans – microplastics and rubbish, poisoning environment
