Anti-Bullying Week
Antibullying Week 2024
This year's theme, which we discussed in assemblies, was Choose Respect! What a perfect theme for our school! We took the opportunity to look at our own Rules for Respect and how they help contribute to a safe and happy school environment where bullying is not tolerated. The children, as always, had thoughtful insights about how they could pledge to show respect to each other and those in our school community.
Antibullying Week 2023
The theme for Anti-Bullying Week this year is ‘Make a Noise about Bullying’ and the children in each key stage completed a range of different activities to show how we can stand up and speak out against bullying within school.
EYFS
In Reception, the children discussed how to use kind words and actions towards their family and friends. They then made a kindness card. They also created some fantastic odd socks for Odd Socks Day.
Key Stage 1
In Key Stage 1, the children discussed what bullying looks like in school and what we can do to prevent it from happening. They created anti-bullying posters to promote kindness and understanding.
Key Stage 2
In Key Stage 2, the children created a whole-class anti-bullying rap and anti-bullying poems. They also created ‘bantometers’.
