Year 5-6
In DT in Year 5/6, our challenge was to design a new road bridge for the Panama Canal. The design brief was to create a prototype model for a new bridge that will mean that a major road can go over a river/canal but be moved to allow shipping to pass. Then we used a motor to lift and lower the bridge.
