Latest Ofsted Inspection Report - April 2026
Following our Ofsted inspection on 13th and 14th April, we are pleased to share the outcome and thank our entire school community for their support.
The inspection confirmed that the school meets the Expected Standard across all areas, including teaching and learning, leadership, personal development, inclusion, EYFS, behaviour, attendance and achievement. Safeguarding arrangements were also judged effective, with inspectors highlighting a strong culture where keeping children safe is a shared responsibility.
Under the new framework, achieving the Expected Standard across all areas represents a positive outcome and confirms that we are providing a good quality education. One that meets the high expectations set by the renewed framework. We are particularly proud that no areas were identified as needing attention.
Inspectors also considered the stronger standard and found clear evidence of strong practice across the school. While not yet fully consistent in every sub-criterion, this reflects the high quality of education in place and provides a clear focus for our next steps.
The report highlights many of the schools’ strengths. Inspectors described the school as “friendly and welcoming,” where pupils have a “strong sense of belonging.” Pupils behave well, show “high levels of respect,” and said they “trust staff and feel safe and valued as individuals.” These strong, positive relationships help pupils develop a “thirst for knowledge and thrive.”
Our ambitious curriculum was also recognised, with reading identified as the highest priority for all children. Inspectors noted that “pupils become confident, fluent readers” and that all groups, including disadvantaged pupils and those with SEND, “achieve well across the curriculum.”
Inspectors also praised the school’s pastoral care and the “wide range of life defining experiences” we provide. Leadership and governance were recognised as strong, with “leaders’ actions improving the experiences of pupils” and governors who “are well informed and hold leaders robustly to account.” It was also acknowledged that both leaders and governors are firmly committed to continual school improvement.
As part of the process, next steps were identified and we were pleased that these align closely with our current priorities. These include further strengthening consistency in early writing and continuing to embed adaptive teaching practices to support all learners.
Finally, we would like to thank our staff for their dedication and our parents and carers for their continued support. Inspectors noted that “staff are proud to work at the school” and that “pupils’ best interests are at the heart of every decision.” We are extremely proud of our school community and remain committed to ensuring all children at our school are Happy, Confident, Creative, Proud and Successful.
