Hello! Today is Earth Day

Today is the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day. The theme for Earth Day 2020 is climate action. Climate change represents the biggest challenge to the future of humanity and the life-support systems that make our world habitable. If you would like to find out more click on this link:

Daily English Task

Write a persuasive speech or letter about one of the issues below

  • Pollution

  • Plastic

  • Recycling

Remember the features of persuasive writing:

1st person (I/we), formal style, Opinion, Modal Verbs, Rhetorical Qs, Emotive language

You could video yourself giving the speech and share it with us via email or the school instagram account. We know you were really passionate about this during our book week activities inspired by Greta Thunberg so we're looking forward to some passionate opinions.
