Good morning Year 5/6 its Cinco de Mayo (the 5th May)
Cinco de Mayo, (Spanish: “Fifth of May”), also called Anniversary of the Battle of Puebla, is a holiday celebrated in parts of Mexico and the United States in honour of a military victory in 1862 over the French forces of Napoleon III.

Watch the bbc video (link below) and read the fact file to find out about VE Day. Present what you find out as a non fiction text. You could choose to create a fact file, information text, non chronological report or the front page of a newspaper about VE Day. Don't forget you could look back at yesterday's reading activity and use some of the fact files from the VE Day resources section to find out even more.
