Tuesday 21st April

Good Morning Year 3/4

Today there is a someone celebrating their 94th birthday.

Can you guess who it is?

Today is the Queen's birthday. Did you know she actually has two birthdays a year? Today is her actual birthday. She was born on 21st April 1926, but she also has an official birthday in June which is celebrated by countries across the world. If you want to find out more visit the newsround website on this link:

Here is today's picture of an invention which your grown-ups will be very familiar with but we do not see as much these days.

What do you think it is?

What was it used for?

How big do you think it is if you picked one up?

What do people use nowadays instead?

Why is there an A and B - what does that mean?

What has happened in the second picture?

Here are your daily maths and English tasks - remember to do your best and DON'T worry is you find things tricky - just have a go!

Now you've finished maths and English, what's next? Remember to check out the other links on the Y3/4 webpage - we will keep updating them with new activities. Have you done your daily PE today? If not, google 'PE with Joe Wicks'. Remember to be kind to others and help out your parents as much as you can. Surprise them by doing something really nice!

Another day down, congratulations on completing Tuesday’s tasks. It is very strange learning from home and we wanted to remind you of how well you are doing by checking in every day. Some of you may be finding the work very challenging but that’s okay. Just do your best and check in again tomorrow. In the words of Dory from Finding Nemo “Just keep swimming, just keep swimming. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming. What do we do? We swim, swim…

Bye for now,

The Y3/4 teachers
