Tuesday 12th May
Parents and Carers,
We hope you have all received contact via email or phone from your child's teacher. If you have not, it may be because we do not have the correct contact details for you. Please email to update the office so next time we do phone calls we can get through to you.
We miss all the children terribly and look forward to being back in school when it is safe to do so. We understand how hard it is to juggle working from home, being a key worker, childcare, home learning expectations and caring for relatives as we are doing the same; so please go easy on yourselves and know that all the children are in the same boat during these unprecedented times.
We understand how difficult it is to learn from home and we want you to know that we are very proud of you all. Although we encourage you to have a go at the learning activities we set, it is completely acceptable that there will be days when you do not feel like doing the tasks we give you AND THAT IS FINE!
International Nurses Day
International Nurses Day is day observed around the world, on the 12th of May every year. It is an event that celebrates the incredible contributions that nurses make to society.
This day has been celebrated since 1965, the International Council of Nurses were the pioneers of the event. It is also celebrated on the 12th of May as it commemorates Florence Nightingale's birthday, the founder of modern, day to day, nursing. To all the nurses around the world - we thank you!
It's day two of the Oak National Academy lessons on 'Setting Descriptions'. Follow the link below for the video and activities.

Year 5 Daily Maths Task
Today we will be recapping learning from earlier in the year - short division with remainders.
Remember if you are feeling confident on division you can head to the Maths page for fun and challenging links.
Here is an activity sheet on 'Divide with remainders' and answers.
If you need extra support with division watch this video from Year 4.
Year 6 Daily Maths Task
Please find and have a go at pages 68 and 69 in your CGP book. These pages are a revision of the work you have done in the last week. If you have forgotten how to do them or need more help, you could watch some of the white rose videos again (you will find these on last week's pages). The PowerPoint below also recaps angles at a point.
Well done Year 5 and 6, another big achievement today. You deserve a nice relaxing afternoon doing some of the things you love; going out for your daily exercise, reading your current fave book or listen to some pop music and do some crazy dancing.
Keep social distancing and staying safe.
A short message from Miss French:
I hope you are all doing well. Well done for keeping up with your daily learning tasks.
If you have time, do check out the Spanish page too where I put lots of fun activities, songs, stories and much more for you to try and enjoy. Some of you are using Languagenut, I know; well done. If you would like to use it but don't remember your Languagenut username and password, please ask your adults to email the office and I'll get them to you.
I'd love to hear or see anything that you do in Spanish or any other languages .
Take care and hope to see you soon!
