This is what Ms Garland thinks:
I found that the 2 digit investigation revealed that all the answers were all multiples of 9 ! How fascinating!
I tried 82-28 = 54
92-29 = 63
43 -34= 9
When I investigated the 3 digit numbers
532 - 235 or 625 - 526 I found they were all multiples of 11!
Amazing !
Enjoy your investigations .. and remember ... ‘Be curious’

Here’s Zoe's answer for today’s Maths Challenge.
I think that any number you have then reverse it and take that number away from the reverse you will always get an answer that is in the 3 times table; e.g
81 - 18 : 81-18= 63 63/3=21
738 – 837 : 837-738=99 99/3=33
9123 – 3219 : 9321-3219=5904 5904/3= 1968
11865 – 56811 : 56811-11865=44946 44946/3=14982
So, I think that any number you have it will always go into 3.
