Nursery Class @ The Cambourne Campus
Our Nursery Ethos
The children are at the heart of everything we do at Hardwick and Cambourne Community Primary School. Our child-led ethos means we are able to follow the individual interests of each child, embedding a lifelong love of learning. We want our children to feel excited by the world around them; to explore, to engage, to ask questions.
We boast fully qualified, experienced Nursery teachers who inspire children to make their own choices through our child-driven ‘workshop’ approach, well-resourced environment and rich curriculum. We are fully inclusive; all children are welcomed and their individual needs met.
Relationships are key and by working together with you, we aim to give your child the best start in life. We offer regular opportunities for you to come in, share and celebrate in your child’s learning.
Our nursery class is an integral part of our school community, this ensures fluid progression into our Reception classes, ready for their exciting next steps.
What we offer
Our school nursery, led by experienced fully qualified teachers operates 5 morning sessions and 5 afternoon sessions for children from the term after they turn 3, offering the full 30 hours childcare funding. We recommend that you take up as many morning sessions, afternoon sessions or full days to allow your child to benefit fully from their time in our care.
The term after your child turns 3 years old they are eligible to receive Early Years Funding of 15 hours per week. This funding can be used to pay for your child’s sessions at our nursery. If you wish to access the 30 hours funding then please visit the following website: www.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-cost where you will find a checker to see if you are eligible.
