On the week of 15th - 19th November 2021, we will be celebrating 'World Nursery Rhyme Week'. Nursery rhymes play an important role in early childhood development and education. As well as being fun they are excellent teaching tools. Nursery rhymes and children's songs boost vocabulary and language development. They also help to boost literacy skills and provide a fun way to support early numeracy skills. Nursery rhymes help children to develop social, physical and emotional skills.

We will be focusing on 5 different nursery rhymes (one a day).

* Head, shoulders, knees and toes,

* Incy Wincy Spider

* Wind the Bobbin

* Down in the Jungle

* Sleeping Bunnies

If you would like to join in at home you can go to the website worldnurseryrhymeweek.com where you will find videos of all these rhymes.

Enjoy!
