Solution to yesterday's starter
Did you realise that the problem was like counting in hours on a clock? Once you get to 12 you have to start back at 1 again.
Congratulations to Eilidh and Maria (from Hardwick) who sent in the best answers:
Eilidh said, "I think the answer to your maths starter is 10. My reasoning is if you do the addition square correctly you realise that 6 and the two 11s are correct and the rest (2, 4 and 7) are the correct answers but 12 has been taken away. If you apply that reasoning to the bottom corner (22) you end up with 10."
Maria said, "I found that 3+3 is 6, 3+8 is 11 and 11+3 is 14 it says 2 on the sheet in a 24 hour clock 14 is 2. Everything else on that grid works like that too. So the answer is 10."
