Easter Menu 2
Hello Year 3/4!
This week we are wishing a Happy Birthday to Joshua on Monday and Charlie on Sunday. Hope you both have a brilliant day!
Fun Facts about dates this week:
Easter Monday this year falls on 13th April. On this date in 1936, former England International footballer, Joe Payne scored 10 goals in one match for Luton Town. This is still a Football League record. If you like football why don't you play a game against one of your family members - first to score 10 goals wins!
Wednesday 15th April: In 1912, RMS Titanic sank after hitting an iceberg. Year 3's: can you remember learning about the Titanic last year? What can you remember? Perhaps you could find out some more information about either the Titanic or icebergs.
Friday 17th April: National Haiku Poetry Day. A Haiku poem is a traditional form of Japanese poetry. Haiku poems have 3 lines. The first and last lines of a Haiku have 5 syllables and the middle line has 7 syllables. If you like poetry, why don't you try and write your own Haiku poem.
Here's a Haiku poem about the Easter bunny:
If you're feeling creative this Easter you could also have a go at the Spring Poetry Challenge organised by Miss Miles. We love reading your writing and can't wait to see what you come up with! Find out more over on the English page: https://www.hardwickandcambourneprimary.co.uk/competitions-challenges-and-events/
We hope that you all have a wonderful Easter with your families. Hopefully there will be nice weather so you can get outside to go for a walk in the local area or play in the garden (especially if eating Easter chocolate has given you lots of energy). Have a great week!
