Christmas 7th December

It's Christmas!! For the last two weeks of the term our theme will be Christmas. We will be decorating our own tree with baubles and tinsel, making paper chains, pretending to be Santa or an elf, decorating stars, counting pom poms onto a card Christmas tree and performing our Christmas concert, just to name a few.

Below, you can find some ideas of things you can try at home if your child is not in Nursery this week. As always we would be glad to receive any pictures to see what you have been doing at home.  These can come to amenezes@hardwick.cambs.sch.uk or twisbey@hardwick.cambs.sch.uk

Please remember to tell us if you do not want these photographs to be shared on the website.

Design a bauble. Cut out some circular paper or card shapes and the children can decorate them any way they would like. They can use collage, draw different patterns, paint, or add glitter.

If the children have any pasta and string or pipe cleaners, they could make a bracelet as a present. They could leave the pasta plain or paint it.

Snowball counting. Get out some cotton wool balls or white paper made into a ball shape and pretend they are snow balls. Can they count how many snowballs there are?

Can they throw snowballs (scrunched up white paper) into a bin or bucket?
